What to Expect at a Class
Classes at Compassion Kadampa Buddhist Center are open to everyone. At the Center you can experience insightful teachings in a comfortable atmosphere.
Most of our classes begin with an opening talk that is followed by a guided breathing meditation. This meditation helps relax and release stress and worry that arises in our busy daily lives. Following the meditation, a teaching is given to explain some principles of Buddhist practice that can be used by anyone to increase their happiness and contentment. The teaching ends with the opportunity to ask questions before the final meditation is guided.
If you have time after class, feel free to stay for a short while and enjoy tea while meeting members of the community.
